All scandal, all the time

A bombshell story on the CBC, and it couldn't have come at a worse time for the government: The gun registry is now estimated to have cost $2-billion -- twice the previous estimate, then the highwater mark for public outrage. In other news, Jane Stewart, who carried the can for the Billion Dollar Boondoggle (now there was a scandal you could name), is leaving the country. And in other other news, the cost of the Governor-General's trip around the Arctic Circle, complete with 59-person entourage, has ballooned to five times its initial cost estimate.
