.... and we're back

Sorry about that, folks. Apparently, Rogers' policy is that you can have a free web page with your monthly internet access fee, so long as nobody actually looks at it. The minute you get the smallest trickle of traffic -- on the day my site crashed, it collected a record 620 hits -- they take it away. Spent a hellish day dealing with various bureaucracies -- Rogers, the domain name registry, Visa, Rogers again, the domain name registry again, lather, rinse, repeat -- but finally am set up with a properly hosted site, with a more logical URL. Yes, having been shut down on one day's notice by Rogers, I crawled back to Rogers to host this site. It was just too much work to look somewhere else. A flurry of posts to follow.
