Hit wit quits Grits

Translated: Warren Kinsella, composer of Liberal attack lines since antiquity, is leaving the Liberal Party. (Alternatively: "Git flits...", "Shit hits....", etc. Season to taste.) Or at least, he's not voting for them. Apparently, it was a certain diminutive Martinet lieutenant that put him over the edge. That, and the creeping takeover of the party's Quebec wing by "former" separatists. (But then, God knows who the Conservatives and NDP are enlisting as candidates. Harper once talked about going after the federalist vote in Quebec, which would be a historic and welcome shift on the Conservatives' part, but these days everyone's pitching the Bloc vote.) Meantime, he may wish to sue the Democratic Party, which is calling its new blog "Kicking Ass." Cheeky. UPDATE: Still, at least those supposed former sovereignty junkies are joining the Liberals for the right reasons. Blog Polyscopique has this quote from instaLiberal and onetime PQ MNA Lvis Brien, via an interview in the hebdo Rive Nord:
According to him, Quebec can not afford anymore to be absent from Ottawa. "My political experience taught me that being in the Opposition means watching 'cheques passing by' to go elsewhere."
And Brien's verdict on Paul Martin?
C'est un 'doer,' un 'winner.'
What, he's a former francophone, too?
