Passive-aggressive voice

More sliming of the Auditor General, and this time Warren Kinsella's fingerprints aren't on it.
"People are wondering about her self-aggrandizement," said one Liberal MP outside caucus Wednesday. Speaking on condition he not be identified, the MP said that "people are also wondering about her philosophical disposition, whether she's a bit on the right."
How pathetic is that? Even under cover of anonymity, he resorts to the third-person indeterminate: People are wondering. Don't quote me putting words in nameless other people's mouths. Anonymous sources quoting other anonymous sources to impugn another person's professional reputation. Apparently the Star found this newsworthy. What was that about a witch-hunt?
