Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, the Sinn Fein leaders, were publicly named as members of the IRA's Army Council in an unprecedented move by the Irish government yesterday.

What's the Irish government up to? I haven't followed that stuff in the past couple years; what's the significance of that insofar as the fact has been widely publicly understood for years?

i read that yesterday, but reading on further, it was a government minister naming them on a radio program, not a formal government announcement. adams and mcguinness denied it right away. just playing the game i suppose.

the british parliament also suspended the pay for all 4 sinn fein mp's (they don't take their seats anyways), which was £500,000 a year each (don't tell that to our MPs!)!

also said that adams was recently at a rally with marchers in black fatigues and sunglasses. what an example ...
