Treasured moments from the Brault testimony, part III:

DAY 5 Brault testifies he entered into a kickback scheme in the late 1990s with Jacques Corriveau. The scheme operated through an arrangement with another Liberal friendly agency owner, Luc Lemay. Records show Brault’s Groupaction firm earned $4 million in commissions from sponsorship contracts to Lemay’s firms that were passed through Groupaction. Brault said the arrangement proposed by Corriveau was that Brault would kick him back 10 per cent of the 12 per cent Groupaction earned as agency commission on sponsorship contracts to Lemay’s firms. Brault said Corriveau told him that the money was for “the cause,” which he said he took to mean the federal Liberal party.
