Hold high the vulgar twaddling

From a press release on the Canada News Wire...

MONTREAL, April 14 /CNW Telbec/ - This is what Mr. John Welch is holding high up via his attorneys, André-J. Noreau & Associates, following remarks made by Mr. Jean Brault, former President of Groupaction, as part of his testimony at the Sponsorship Inquiry Commission headed by Justice Gomery, on April 6, 2005. "Mr. Brault's insinuations concerning Mr. Welch are unfounded," indicated Me André-J. Noreau, who added that these have caused his client serious damage... Me André-J. Noreau reminded that "Mr. Welch worked for Groupaction from May, 1999 to April, 2000, and showed up for work every day except during one week of vacation," and added that Mr. Welch did work with members of the Groupaction team on various mandates, as either a consultant or a contact. In the same wake, Mr. Welch's attorneys said that their client did not work for the Liberal Party of Canada, either directly or indirectly, when he was on Groupaction's premises. "Mr. Brault's decision to hire Mr. Welch is strictly that of the Groupaction President and CEO, the initiative taken and procedures followed to create this employment relationship come under Mr. Brault's responsibility, and Mr. Welch did not take any action toward anyone to solicit this position within the Groupaction communications agency," further explained Me André-J. Noreau, mandated by his client to set the record straight. In conclusion, the attorneys also added that if other people took any action toward Mr. Brault to support their client's candidacy, these people did it of their own accord and without Mr. Welch's having been advised in any way, shape or form. These are the facts. The rest is nothing but pure speculation and can relate only to vulgar twaddling and gossip.
