Quebec invokes Constitution it does not recognize to override rights it upholds

Well that's the gist of it...

Quebec will eliminate religious instruction in schools in 2008 but the government invoked the notwithstanding clause of the Constitution Wednesday to skirt the Charter of Rights and Freedoms until then.
