How scary?

Maclean's cover story in the last week of a federal election campaign: The Scariest Man on Earth. And it's not about Stephen Harper! FRIGHTFEST: These folks obviously have a different man in mind:

"It's important . . . that we do whatever we can to prevent the quasi-fascist party to come into power," Dr. Morgentaler told The Globe and Mail after a news conference in his Toronto clinic.

"It takes a decade, it takes two decades, to repair the damage done by one right-wing government of this radical kind," Ms. Callwood said. "I think Harper represents everything I hold to be anti-Canadian."

FRIGHTFESTER: Now this is scary. Chilling, in fact. FRIGHTESTEST: Actually, this is even scarier:

"The Quebec events, almost from the beginning, have been the biggest thrill of the campaign," says Harper. "Our people have waited so long and worked so hard, they're so excited you almost want to dance with them."

Aiieee!!
