Wonder if they were environmental protesters. It's so hard to tell sometimes. There were some half-naked girls lying on the sidewalk in front of Parlaiment yesterday, covered in fake blood. I thought they were protesting violence against women, or maybe the sweatshop labour used to produce women's underwear. Turns out they were protesting the seal hunt. I wasn't even aware that we had seals in the Ottawa River.

Who knows nowadays? You could show up at a demonstration ready to protest the GST charged on female sanitary products, only to find out that that protest was yesterday. So you're standing there instead with a bunch weirdos protesting the PST on baby diapers -- people you have nothing in common with. Talk about embarassing.; 3/16/2007
